The existence of Disney Land Thailand is not widely known.
Even though it’s less than an hour's flight from Bangkok, and right across the river from the famous wat arun Temple in Bangkok, it doesn’t get as much attention as other popular tourist destinations in Thailand.Don't pass up this rare chance to experience Disney magic while visiting one of the most well-liked nations in Asia! Here’s how you can make your trip to Disney Land Thailand amazing.
5 Great Reasons to Visit Disneyland in
Thailand
1. You will have hours of entertainment
for kids of all ages. You can visit three areas in the park: Pirates of The
Caribbean, it's A Small World, and Journey To Neverland.
2. The rides are a mixture of old
classics from America and newer selections from worldwide destinations such as
Peter Pan's Flight and The Mickey's PhilharMagic Show. For thrill-seekers,
there is Splash Mountain (Thailand's only roller coaster) and Indiana Jones
Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull. There is also plenty of fun for adults
with Fantasy Festival Stage shows, one-of-a-kind merchandise, and delicious
dining choices like funnel cakes and turkey legs - so much food to choose from!
One thing you won't want to miss is the nightly fireworks show which includes
Cinderella Castle sparkling in the background.
3. What about the gifts? Head over
to select stores on Main Street, U.S.A., where you'll find apparel,
collectibles, and more Disney-themed items than you can imagine! Or take a
break at Tony's Town Square restaurant for classic Italian cuisine and amazing
views of Cinderella Castle.
4.Want something different? Try out
Universal Studios Hollywood in Bangkok. If you love amusement parks, then this
is the place for you. It offers both indoor and outdoor attractions, plus water
rides galore including Jaws Water Ride and Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride. Kids
can enjoy Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone or StormRider Water Park while adults head
off to E.T.'s the Enchanted Kingdom or Terminator 2: 3D T2 Extreme Screen
Experience.
5. Get your passports ready because
Disneyland Thailand is located in Nonthaburi, just 30 minutes away from
downtown Bangkok by car. Tickets start at USD 8 per person for children aged 3
to 11 years old. With so many benefits, why wouldn't you go see Disneyland
Thailand?
How to Get There
One of the best ways to get around
Bangkok is by Sky Train, running both elevated and underground. The Skytrain
runs 24 hours. To reach downtown Bangkok (The Rattanakosin Peninsula) from
Suvarnabhumi Airport, catch the BTS sky train at Phaya Thai station in 20
minutes, with trains departing every 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can also
take an airport shuttle which will bring you directly to Terminal 21 Shopping
Mall located in Siam Square in about 60 minutes. When leaving the city, make
sure to arrive early as it can be difficult to hail a taxi during rush hour.
For those traveling on budget airlines, two terminals are servicing domestic
flights-T1 for low-cost carriers such as Air Asia or Nok Air and T2 for all
other carriers including international flights. To travel between terminals at
Suvarnabhumi Airport passengers must board an air-conditioned bus that travels
along a 3km route and takes approximately 15 minutes.
What to Do
-EPCOT: The Park features three themed
areas, Future World, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, and Journey into
Imagination with Figment. -Mickey's Magical Birthday Parties: Put on your best
birthday attire for a one-day celebration complete with games, activities, and
entertainment for all ages! Guests can join in the festivities or enjoy
reserved seating at an exclusive viewing area. A must-do for any Mickey Mouse
fan is this special event celebrating his 90th birthday!
Where to Stay
Thailand is not known for its nightlife,
but if you're looking for a vacation spot that combines sun, sand, and Mickey
Mouse look no further than the Happiest Place on Earth. Even with an
international flight, it can take over 24 hours to get there. Once you arrive
at the airport in Bangkok, head straight to your hotel by taxi or shuttle
service (most hotels provide transportation). If this is your first time in
Bangkok, don't forget to bring some Thai baht and convert it at the airport
into baht before heading out.
Why Does It Cost So Much?
Although it may seem like there is a
high cost associated with the park, it is very reasonable. Tickets are 1,000
Thai Baht ($28) for adults and 600 Thai Baht ($16) for children 3-11. This is
comparable to prices at other theme parks around the world. The tickets also
include admission to two of their most popular attractions: Pirates of the
Caribbean and Toy Story Mania! There are plenty of options for food that won’t
break the bank either. Fast food items such as chicken nuggets and french fries
will only set you back about $2 US dollars each. If you want to stay on
property, then consider one of their luxurious resort hotels where you can stay
for less than $150 per night!
When Is The Best Time To Go?
One of the best times of year to visit
is during the hot season, which runs from March through May. However, you
should consider if you want to avoid crowds and head there during an off-season
like November or December. You can enjoy cooler weather, fewer crowds, and
cheaper accommodation prices. With that said, it’s still important to be aware
of the travel risks and safety hazards that come with traveling in Southeast
Asia at any time of year. There are also seasonal festivals happening
throughout this period; be sure to check our blog for updates!
